My teaching style is rooted in the belief that learning is most powerful when connected. Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, I design fully integrated units where every lesson — across Reading, Writing, Grammar, Math, History, and Science — is woven around one central theme. This approach keeps children engaged, builds understanding, and makes the school day feel cohesive rather than fragmented. Extensions in Art, STEM, Practical Life and theater give every child a chance to explore further.

As a wife, mother of three, and licensed K–8 teacher, I bring over 20 years of experience in education. I hold a BS in Communication from Boston University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Simmons College. After years in traditional classroom, I felt called to deepen my practice and returned to earn my America
As a wife, mother of three, and licensed K–8 teacher, I bring over 20 years of experience in education. I hold a BS in Communication from Boston University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Simmons College. After years in traditional classroom, I felt called to deepen my practice and returned to earn my American Montessori Society (AMS) certification. That decision changed everything — it reaffirmed my belief that the child, not the teacher, should be at the center of every learning experience. That philosophy is at the heart of every Cactus Curriculum unit I create.
